F G Alden Ltd Special Projects Department is experienced at carrying out a wide range of small to medium sized mechanical services projects.

Our main area of works within special projects, is where our experienced staff can design a plant room to suit our customer’s particular requirements, whether as a replacement/ refurbishment or new installation. Most of our Special Project works are carried out in existing buildings.



Our client list includes private clients with large residential properties, churches, schools, colleges, shops, university properties. The National Trust and The Royal Household are among our most loyal customers and we are proud to feel that we give all of our customers the same high quality of service and expert advice.


We prefer to liaise directly with our clients, as it is most important for us to execute the job to their absolute satisfaction. It is also important to give advice as to the latest innovations in the industry and the correct economic and safety aspects of the work.


Our Special Projects Department provide close contact with our customers both from the office and site. This allows us to produce the high quality of work for which we are renowned.
Our department consists of The Small Works Manager, his assistant and a team of mechanical and electrical engineers.


We use directly employed staff as a matter of course. Should the need arise for additional labour we have access to fully qualified engineers from other departments within the company. We employ fully qualified and experienced welders and retain our own prefabrication workshops.


We do use subcontractors for sections of the works such as controls, control panels, ductwork, thermal insulation and building work. These subcontractors are fully vetted and produce the high standards of to match our own expectations.
